When it boils down to it, if you want relief from your credit card debt, you are going to have to do whatever it takes to pay them off. That’s the only way you are going to get any real relief. Now you can either go with some sort of debt settlement service or you can just work out a plan and pay it down yourself. I personally would go with option B. Most of the time it turn out to be much cheaper that way because the debt settlement services charge pretty big fees that you can use towards getting relief from credit card debt.
The first thing you should do is write down all of your credit card bills. This way you can see exactly what you have. Once you know exactly what you have you can better create a plan to get some relief. Now before you create your plan, lets talk about how you can find more money to put towards your credit card bills. Now if you are anything like me, you eat out very often. Just by eating at home more you could probably save well over $200 a month that you could put on your credit card bills.
This extra money will help you knock down those bills much quicker. So here is what you should do. Aim to knock out your smallest bill first. So take that extra $200 and put it towards your smallest bill every month until you pay it off. Then take it and put it on your next credit card bill. Keep doing this until you have relief from all of your credit card debt. If you stick with it, you will be debt free before you know it.

Debt relief without bankruptcy must seem like a pipe dream these days. The debt burden is an extraordinary level these days, so if you find yourself in a tough situation financially, I empathize with you. That being said, I believe there is always a workable situation for any debt situation without resorting to things like Bankruptcy. Hopefully after reading this article you’ll see some hope.
If you find yourself in a situation where you have several credit cards and bank loans which you can’t service properly, consolidation is a very good option. What this does is bring all your monthly payments together into one easy to manage payment plan. While there is some cost involved with this option, it is significantly better than filing for bankruptcy. Not least because bankruptcy can affect you for a very long time after you declare it. It is always wise to seek debt relief without bankruptcy.
Another option is getting in touch with a debt management agency. This will put you in touch with professional debt counselors trained in dealing with people in very dire financial situations. On top of counseling, they provide working solution to your debt situation by negotiating new terms with your creditors. This is a big bonus because quite often when one feels overwhelmed, the option of actually talking to the people you owe is ignored.
Settlement and consolidation remain two of the best options today for getting out of a tight economic squeeze. I should know; I have been there. The key is to keep your cool and don’t make rash decisions. Not seeking debt relief without bankruptcy is pretty rash so I hope you take on board the two suggestions I have made above. You will be far better choosing either of the two over bankruptcy.

Credit cards have become a major problem. They’re so easy to use, that many people are spending more money on the card than they can actually afford. Because you don’t have to have money to use the card, overspending becomes a habit. This leads to debt. You might feel your situation is helpless, but it’s not. Credit card debt negotiation can help alleviate the stress, and get you back on your feet.
One of the credit card debt negotiation methods is debt settlement. This involves reducing the amount you owe to your lender, making your debt much easier to pay off. In order to do this, you need to have a excellent reason why you’re not paying off your debt. If you’ve lost your job, or the debts have accumulated to an impossible level, tell your lender. Write them a letter explaining what’s happening. Propose a plan that would help you pay off your loans to them. In most cases, your lender will work with you. They don’t want to lose all the money they’ve lent out, so they will be willing.
Debt settlement is a great method of credit card debt negotiation. If you’re deep into debt, don’t panic, and don’t ignore it. Ignoring your debt is the worst thing you could do, because it causes the debt to build up, and nothing gets solved.
If you feel debt settlement could help you, then apply for it. Talk to your lender as soon as you realize your debt is too much for you to handle. If you do this, debt settlement can help you out a lot. If you wait, though, it might be too late for you to use settlement. This is why it’s best to let them know at the first sign of trouble.
